I ordered a T28 Killer turbo yesterday (thanks to my girlfriend) and it is supposed to be here sometime next week:thumb: I have a few questions regarding this turbo.
1. Considering I am still using the stock fuel system at this point, how many pounds of boost can i safely run until I get my fuel upgrades?
2. I hope to eventually run 12s (maybe 11s) with this turbo, I know I need upgraded injectors, fuel pump, and a SAFC. should i go with 550s or 660s for the injectors? Should I get a 190lph,255lph, or high pressure 255lph fuel pump? Is there anything else that is a must (fuel pressure regulator, etc?)
Thanks for any input in advance, I'd also like to here from some of you who have a T28 killer already and know what you think of it!

Lemm me see if I can help ya out a bit...

The first part of your question is I wouldn't go over 14-15psi MAX on the stock fuel system...anymore than that and you'll be overrunning it...

Second...low 12's...possibly 11's on a GST Spyder...your gonna need a hellavua lot more mods than what you listed to get you there...and a T-28 Killer shouldn't be on your list...Maybe a Ball bearing, 60 trim whatever and you'll still fight traction through every gear with that kinda power on a FWD (Spyder no less!)...Pray for low 13's...I'm not sure anyone is really going that fast with a FWD without sick amounts of money in the car and a Spyder?...good luck man...

For what you want you'll need...

...Sick weight reduction
...Full drag radials
...A 60ft God would be proud of
...Some kind of LSD
...A bigger Turbo than a 28 Killer
...An act of God

To answer part 2...I have a 255 on my Big-28 with no problems but guys use 190's all the time...Go with 550's...660's are unnecessary with that turbo...Some say u need an FPR, some don't...I've been fine without one but that argument is purely subjective...

I wish you luck for your goals...I'll have to digress to the DSM guru's here but I'm gonna say that if you hit low 12's high 11's you not only will have the FASTEST GST Spyder in the country, you'll maybe be in the top 5 or so of the fastest FWD's in the country...

GOOD LUCK:thumb:

Stock fuel system you are probably shouldn't go any further than 12 - 13 psi. Looks like from your profile you've got most of the supporting mods. Get a ported 2G manifold, or buy an unported off the trader and port it yourself it will help huge in the long run as well as a ported O2 housing. A 190lph FP will do fine for the Killer. One thing to look out for, the compressor housing from what I have heard gets quite hot and has a tendency to glow in the dark after driving. Good luck and hope this helps!

If you can get an 02 eliminator down pipe and make it an external dump, it will ad so much power from the free flow, just perfect IMHO. This will also svae you the trouble of porting the stock 02 which is still a waste if you can get a downpipe with an 02 eliminator, plus teh dump is just MEAN sounding, mean as hell.

Also if you plan to just stay with the T-28, just get the 195 LPH pump, why? #1 your T-28 is NOT big enough to out flow it. #2, you will NOT overflow your stock FPR and you can save yourself $300+ in buy and fitting one.
550's would be fine, but if you get 660's you will be able to make a LIL more power on pump gas but tuning will be harder, BUT you should really shell out the $150 (remeber the $300 saved?) on a dyno with a wide band 02 with 660 leaned the #### back and you will make 330-340 WHP with FMIC, pump, 660's, Turbo and 02 eliminator with 3.0 turbo back exhaust, 3.0 intake or 2.5 I think for you, try to get 2.5 intercooler piping if you can. If you just bolt this thing on, you will feel minimal gains with no supporting mods, you need fule up top to make power which you do not have, nor tuning, now exhaust flow, so get modding.

I realize it won't be easy to run 12s with a fwd, but I did say "eventually". I have many more plans for the future. All I expect to run with this turbo and supporting fuel mods is mid to low 13s. I will be installing an LSD, fmic, slicks, and nitrous (to name a few) in the future and I know 12s and maybe 11s are possible with that setup. I will also do a fair amount of weight reduction.
Thanks to those who are contributing to answering my questions. From what everybody is saying i shouldn't be able to outflow a 190lph FP and 550s, so I guess that is what I'll be going with. Now for a stupid question, will my car run like crap if i run 550s and a 190lph without the SAFC, I will obviously get the SAFC also, but is it worth running the injectors and pump without the SAFC being installed yet?
About the safe boost levels, I've gotten answers from 12psi-15psi. I was thinking of running 14 or 15psi until i get the fuel upgrades, is this safe? Thanks again for the input everybody. Oh yeah, by the way, are there any special tricks to removing the bolts aside from using penetrating oil, and what is the best way to prime the oil through the turbo before starting the car?

YOU NEED A SAFC TO RUN THOSE INJECTORS PERIOD. Need a dyno to tune them, do this and you will own with that turbo and FMIC, really. Tuning is key, most important, I have seen 14B's tuned to the brink of explosion beat 20G's, really that important.

if you do plan on running N20 in the future, get a 255lph and 660s now. you will need them for a 28/N20 setup. why buy parts twice? just do it right the first time.

you will need fuel control. again, if you plan on running a 28/Nso setup, get DSMLink. then you can properly tune it.

it may look like more money now. but add up what you want to do, then haveing to buy new stuff for the setup you really want. you'll find its cheaper to get the right parts now. even if you have to wait a little longer, it makes it that much more worth while.

I got the feeling that the t28 killer didn't really have the potential I was looking for judging by everybodies comments, and I noticed that a 50 trim was the same price and in stock, so I went ahead and ordered that instead. So what kind of setup (fuel, etc.) would be best to get the potential out of this turbo? What would be a safe boost level for the stock fuel system until I get the upgrades?
