garrett T3 help......

My friend is selling me his used T3 for $150. it has about 23,000 miles on it. there is almost no shaft play and its been out of his car for a year, if it dont work i get my money back so i am gonna try it. its bigger than the T28 so the spooling will take just a little time but my question is, is there anything i am going to have to do to make this beast work. do the oil return lines have to be bigger, i know i have to make a custon header for it but thats easy my friend has a shop that does it. you guys are smart so i figured i would ask you. thanks.

What T3? There are like two dozen (or more) different configurations of T3 turbo. Some will not work at all while others are marginal. Oil return line can be same size. Hahn sells a T3/Mitsu adapter place for $40, but then you have to do DP too. I think you are setting yourself up for failure. Spend a few extra dollars and get a good used 16G if you are intent on a turbo upgrade right now. It is bolt on, proven to work and has more umph than the 14B. Just my $.02.
