in the midst of installing my act 2600 today......

man. havent had to do this for years. so tired right now. took me three hours just to get it out. any ways i have a question. when i was trying to get the lower ball joint off to pull out the passenger side axle i tore the shit out of the boot. yes i was using a pickle fork. it still tore it. my question is, can i get away with just putting it back together? i really dont feel like messing around with pulling the control arm off to fix it. i was told by a buddy that he has been driving like that for awhile and his is cool but its not a daily driver. mine is. thanks in advance.

Get a new one..

If you have to use it, I'd sugest you make sure there is some grease inside, make sure the heat sheild on the brake will stop any grease from getting on the rotor, and get a new ball joint as soon as possible.

f*ck it. i cleaned it up really good and threw abunch of silicone on it.im not too worried about it. thanks for your guys' input.

It's gonna make a bloody mess of your underside man. Just get a new boot on there if you can.
