im hearing different stories from different sources. if so can someone tell me what kind of spool differences between the two on a 7.8:1 motor? thanks. mods are in my profile:)

Yes a GT 40 56 Trim, or PTE SC61, is larger than a 60-1. 56 Trim has a 2.41in inducer and a 3.22in exducer. The 60-1 uses a 2.32in inducer and 3.00in exducer. So yes it is physically a larger wheel. According to most maps the 60-1 flows out to 65 lbs/min (some say 60 lbs/min so who knows) as does the GT40 56 trim. The 56 trim is much more efficient according to the maps.

According to what has been occuring on dynos the 56 trim is capable of over 600whp, whereas the 60-1 is capable of just over 500whp. There are a boat load of honda guys making over 600whp on the 56 trim. AMS has also made over 600whp on the 56 Trim.

I cant honestly give you an opinion on spool as I have not driven a 2.0L with the 60-1 or the 56 Trim. I know that on a 2.3L (local) the 60-1 mated with a stage 3 wheel in a .82 AR 5 bolt housing will make full boost before 4k.
