any suggestions for mods while the engine is out of the car?

I have the engine out of my car and am replacing the head gasket... i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for any mods that i could do while the engine is out of the car (besides the hydro-tensioner and new timing belt) ... thanx--

ARP head studs, exhaust mainifold studs, ported mainofld, port out your turbo now, and so on

Pretty much everything's easier when the engine's out of the car.

If you're looking for cheap, easy mods, block off the EGR valve and get rid of some of those vacuum lines (www.taboospeedshop.com/emissions.htm)

Also, some maintenance stuff besides what you have listed... how's your knock sensor? That thing can be a pain to get to...

Replace that fuel filter while the engine is out...much easier.

Reaplce all your gaskets as well, Oil Pan Gasket, Intake Manifold Gasket, Exhaust manifold, lve cover gasket, engine seals, this is not expensive at all, and it might save you quite a few headaches...

there is no oil pan gasket, you just use rtv.

also, you said you pulled the motor for a blown hg? why? that is TOTALLY unnecessary.

there were some other things that i had to take care of, and since i already had the tranny out of the car, it wasnt that much more to completely pull the engine... overall i just figured that it would be a lot easier.... anyway... can someone tell me where the fuel filter is?? Please??

For fuel filter location, I'm not sure about a '95; I think it's the same as my '97. Look on the firewall on the passenger side; it's down low. Just follow the hose that went to the input side of your fuel-rail. The other end should be stuck on the fuel filter. Getting that sucker out is a major hassle with the engine in the car. Should be a lot easier for you now.

theres an oil pan gasket.. i got 2 on 2 different times, one was kinda rubbery and thin and the other was cork-like meterial..
