Turbine muffler ?

I'm confused here. Recently I came across (on the net) a muffler with built-in turbine. They claim it actually scavanges out remaining gasses and improves performance during gear shifting...

But wouldn't it be offset by backpressure created buy spooling that turbine in the first place ?

Let me know what you guys think.

A friend with an MX-6 bought his car and the guy gave him one. he had it installed and the turbine froze 3 days later. Now all it does is create backpressure. He hates it.

I have one and hooked up a motor to the turbine and connected it to my battery. As soon as I start the car the fan begins to turn. The seat of the pants dyno is at least a gain of 25HP at idle.

That's what I thought.. just wanted to double-check if I was missing something there....

No wonder they pressed so much on how "cool" it sounded rather then on actuall dyno slips....

I here those LED's are at LEAST an additional 20 hp.
The turbine must be like 50! It's like another turbo without the cost!
