Is there ANY way, whatsoever, that a Greddy turbo timer on a GS-T (using the Greddy harness) installed with an aftermarket alarm, can cause your engine to overheat due to ' incorrect ' installation (and yes a relay was used)? in addition, blowing the motor out?! Can it disable the fans in the enginebay anyhow? Thanks in advance for any help!

Considering it does mess with the electrical system, thus being all wires, yes there is a chance an improper installation could have caused a short somewhere. Whether it be the fans or something, I couldn't say if it could do that. But since you are dealing with electronics, other electronic things could malfunction due to something being installed in the wrong place or with two wires touching each other that shouldn't, ect.

turbo timers arent that great anyways, sure they needed them back in the day, but now we have synthetic fluid. also, its been proven that driving round at like 4000 (no boost) for a min is way better than turbo timing.

I just have one so I dont have to sit in the car after I just ran the car for a long time. Mine reads A/F ratio too so thats good as well. :) Just a pain sitting in the car for 30 seconds or so. Better safe than sorry I say, enough things can go wrong with these cars as it is. I dont put anything past them.

Having a turbo timer run your car is absolutly no different than a remote starter and some cars come equiped with them from the factory. So if you used the plug and play harness I would say there is NO way that it could do any damage to your car, that's BS.

It sounds to me like your getting the run around on warranty somewhere and they say it's your turbo timer thats messing it all up. That's pretty well horseshit. Tell them it is no different then a remote starter and this unit acctually has a plug and play harness so you don't chop wires. Everybody and their dog has a remote starter in their mini-van...

I agree with JimDSM. What did you do, think about it, disconnect the key switch haness, and plug a short what 4" one in betweenteh 2 halfs, and lets see, greddy, hummmm, you spliced the Ebrake wire, but that geos back to the console, so I doubt you had a fan wire runing back that far (did you splice the wire close to the ebrake? or further forward? Anyways you know you got the right one since you tested it operation right?) and maybe you connected the speed sensor wire. That if anything is the only hting you can really screw up, if it is connected, disconnect it and check it out, if still present then it is NOT the timer.
