Dude...there are about 150 silver things under my hood. Its your flux capacitor most likely. Please be specific.

Yes, the gasket kit will work.

I think he means the aluminum foil looking stuff that is phsycally attatched under the actual hood. I dunno i would guess it would be some type of insulation so the hood doesn't get extremely hot.

yeah that's what i mean, the thing attached to the hood

also are you sure those gaskets will work on my 7-bolt 95 GST??

Most of us refer to that large silver thing under the hood as the "engine".

You should be able to find a serviceable hood liner at a junk yard, I don't know if they're glued besides being held by the buttons, but I'd suspect so. Otherwise, I'm sure a dealer could set you up with one.... where's Bob Barker?.... for ...$80.

According to their listings, that gasket set should fit your engine.

Dude, if you want specific answers....give specific details. They made 6 bolts in early 95, so how is one supposed to know what is in YOUR car? NO I am not sure they will work.

Yeah the silver thingy attached to your hood on the engine side is just a heat sheid, to mainly keep the paint on the hood from fading since your engine gets hot as balls. The heat sheild on my talon is done but i bought a '91 Tsi fwd parts car, so i took the one off of that car and cleaned it up a little and this one looks almost new now.

I never heard of a 6 bolt being made in early '95, where did this information come from???

Gooberlog

I thought, again I could be wrong, that there were cars with a 94 build date that were 95 models with a 6bolt. Am I wrong, or was it just a 7bolt that was less prone to crankwalk?

thanks for trying to help lando

damn no junkyards around with eclipses :(
