My friend just removed the bcs in his eclipse. I read online somewhere that the cars act differently after you remove it. Will removing the bcs have any negative effects on my car, and does ne one know where to get good directions on how to do this. I heard you are supposed to use a wooden screw where do you get a wooden screw? aright any help you can give me would be great..lata

Im not sure about any negative effects.. but you can use a "wood screw" , a screw used for wood, not a "wooden screw" , and can find it at any hardware store..

just remove it from the car and dont be an idiot about how much boost you run.

aright its probably only going to be temporary until i get a boost controller. When i get a boost controller should i put it back in our leave it out? I'll probably be getting a Mbc

this mod doesnt require you to change out the stock 2g BOV right? because on that paige you gave me that has directions on how to remove the bcs it says to change the bov before doing any mods that increase boost. This doesnt increase it enough where i should worry about leaking boost right? thanks

You'll be fine-- the main thing you need before significantly increasing boost is a real boost gauge. And you will eventually get a MBC anyway and the whole point will be moot. Also, yes, you can leave the BCS restrictor out permanently. You just have to leave the BCS plugged in electrically, or you may get a CEL.

it stopped raining for a little while so i went out and disconected the cooling bottle and then took the nut that was holding the bcs to the frame, i unscrewed it. Then I wanted to take the sensor electrical wire off. So i tired to loosen it and it wont move at all. So i figured that if i can get the two hoses off then i could leave it on the car and just take out the restrictor. So i tried to pull the tubes off and neither of them will move at all. I dont know what to do to get them off. I dont want to pull to hard cuz i might rip them and then have to buy new hoses. But i cant ge them off, has anyone else run into this problem at all? ANd if you have how did you get them off?...thanks

huh mine were stuck on there pretty good, and man your being to carefull (if there is such a thing) there is plenty of slack in the hose just rip the bi*** off if it breaks oh well. unless it rips up the hose and then all you would have to do is cut it and put it back on.
