my BOV is pissing me off!!!

call me stupid or whatever, i do everytime i get in my car. anyway i didn't get a gasket w/ my uicp so i tried to use silicone. well it didn't seal good. so when i got the gasket finally i still can't get it to seal. it'll seal for a day or two and then leak. pisses me off! anyway i'm sick of this crap and just want to weld it on once and for all. is this a bad idea?

A combination of a gasket with a light layer of RTV on both sides. That should fix it.
