you wont really get much benefit from the CAI. just as long as your intake isnt right in front of a radiator fan, you'll be fine!

Cold air induction will yield lower charged air temps and help to prevent pre-ignition. In my personal experience I have found that tuning is much easier with lower intake temps as opposed to ingesting 200* under hood air.

to do it now since the VPC's can not be found for 1G's you have to buy the Ramchargers GM translator and a 3 or 3.5" GM MAF and set it up in a blow though style (right infront of the throttle body basicly)

other than that just disconnect all the hose's to the maf and intake recordian and replace with you CAI.. and your done... asumeing you put it back and wire it correctly which is easy since you only have to tap one wire otherwise the translator plugs right into your stock MAF cable..

You can't remove the MAS without buying something like a MAFT. The MAS is your car's sole way of metering the incoming air, it won't run without it.

werd..but seriously why buy a vpc and have to worry about injector chips and horrible idleing and the pesky 800 dollar USED price..if you were going to spend a grand on upgrading from the mas then you might as well go all out and buy a haltech engine management system..your best bet would be the ramchargers translator and a gm maf..way cheaper and can be set up for a blow through design for that all to cool venting sound,LOL,but more importantly to smooth out the intake flow to the turbo with a straight pipe with no restrictions for easy spool up time..:thumb:

no but i have friends with this product and im not in any way flaming the vpc,im just saying why spend 800 dollars for a kit when the ramchargers translator and gm maf will do the same thing basicaly for half the price..now can you tell me WHY the vpc would be preferable over a cheaper and still just as effective product?..:)
