i have been reading info that says the stock 2g's only run about 10psi. I just installed a autometer boost gauge and full throttle in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear..i get 15psi...sumtimes 16! of course at full throttle in 4th or 5th...it only goes to about 12psi. But isnt that a lot?

The only thing i have is new ngk platinum spark plubs, turbo xs bov, k&n filter. Thats it...i was going to install a mbc..but now i dont think i need it. I still am going to do the fuel system upgrade..and replace that restrictive part on the upper inter cooler piping...any ideas?

Usually clearing up restrictions may add 1or2 psi, but definetly not 16psi. Ive seen plenty of stock 2gs that run 12psi. Just a k&n wont add any more boost, unless maybe the owner before put in an mbc already and the BOV was leaking (2g suck nutts) or something...but all this seems strange for k&n, there has got to be something up?

That's fine. once you replace the UICP you will need a Boost controller becasue it will start spiking to 17 or 18.

Later,

yeah, i had the same thing happen with mine, it will spike to 15 psi for a sec; its normal...but get a boost controller!!!!!

so even though mine will spike up to 15...its good idea to put on the mbc? i bought the joep mbc one...its comin next week.

so from what i have been reading...i should have no more than 15 psi on my car and only if i do the feul system rewire (which im doin tomorrow!)

the mbc will help to maintain that 15 psi?

Yes the MBC will maintain the 15psi and prevent spiking after you replace to upper IC pipe.

Later,

every car tends to vary but even at that youll be fine.. I assume you didnt buy this car brand new.. might want to check and see if the BCS is gone or not.. it might be the reason your see'ing a little higher boost

Wow the 2g headlights looks good on your 95 eclipse!!!

Ok! I just replaced the uic pipe...with radiator hose. i also rewired my fuel pump with 10 gauge wire. GUESS WHAT??? my car now runs 15-16 psi on all 5 gears. I havent taken out that selenoid restrictor, and i havent added a mbc yet. I dont think i even need to now.
