timing off on balance shaft

how will your car run if your timing is off on the balance shaft? will it mess up the motor? its off a tooth or two. will my car idle funny or not pull?? is that why my car is running funny???? or was running funny....not running now.....on jackstands

I didn't think the balance shafts had anything to do with timing.

Iv'e had my balance belt off a notch or three, can't really fill it at idle but over 4000 rpm you'd definitly feel a vibration. I'm not sure how many teeth mine was off but after replacing and realigning, everything was much better up to 7000.
