anyone know where to get a roll cage in socal for a decent price ? looking for an 8 point roll bar or maybe a cage ? dont know. looking for whatever is legal up to 10.00

Don't know about Cali, but Chassis Engineering out of Florida has some pretty killer prices. Shipping might be hefty, you'd have to check. They have a website, just run a google search.

For 10s you have to have the main hoop, harness bar, two bars tieing into some part of the rear frame (I highly recomend going to the shocktowers), a bar that goes from the main hoop to the drivers foot area while passing between the should and elbow, and bars that follow the roofline and a-pillar. Check the rule book to be sure though.

Oh and if you ever think you might get different seats do it BEFORE you make the cage, trust me on that one.

this place sells some pretty cheap cages

i was thinking about getting the 8 point roll bar with the x brace kit and having my buddy weld it in my car for me. when i get closer to my 10 second passes i might get the roll cage conversion which allows you to turn your 8 point roll bar into a 8 point roll cage.

i dont know tomarrow im going to see what my local fabricator can do. i have corbeau a4's seats with 4 point harnesses right now. gutted interior no sound deadner. should be easy to install.

I was just told by Buscur that for a 9.99 certification, you don't need posts down the A-pillar, only 6 point.

Technically you only need a 5 point. You do not the the diagonal bar by the passenger seat. Also, swingouts are legal til 10.00. As soon as you go 9.99 or 135 MPH, you are requried to have a 10 point cage including a halo over the compartment.
