I just recently put in my MBC and NGK BPR7ES plugs and set my boost to 15 lbs. When I go WOT my turbo sounds like it's whistling a lot more (almost like its working too hard) and when i let off in gear my car will jerk (almost like running a stock BOV VENTED). I'm also starting to smell something like exhaust fumes when i go WOT also. The plugs are gapped @ .27...my question is : I was planning on getting a fuel pump this week to hopefully make things better ( i was told to get one a.s.a.p by someone @ RRE) but I need to know why my car is doing what it's doing first. I don't want to add things when I have other problems to deal with first....Any help would be appreciated

well, the plugs are supposed to be gapped at .028. i would gap them to that, then if it doesn't help check your plug wires, if they are pretty hold you should go ahead and change them anyways.

Hmmm...I really need to know what's causing the jerking and whistle. I don't want one problem to lead to another you know :-\ . I'm assuming the fuel pump is a wise choice for my next mod then.....?

I think it sounds like a boost leak, if your turbo sounds like it is spinning really fast that is most likely what it is.
