I just bought some parts for my ca and I dont know how much PSI I should run.

The parts are:
Walbro fuel pump
TurboXS dual stage boost controller
Apexi SAFC II
HKS Turbo Timer
550cc injectors
3" turbo back exhaust
HKS bov

I want to run about 20 PSI. Will it be safe to do it with these mods? If not what else should I do.

Not on the 14b and pump gas. It's too small and constipated for pump gas at that boost level. Race fuel, go for it all day. (Race Fuel ='s C16 to me)

Thats a bold statement. I have more mods than him and I cant touch that kind of boost on pump gas. 18-20 is most certainly NOT "safe"

What compression ratio are you running???if you have a built motor with 9:1 compression pistons and he has a stock motor with 7.8:1 pistons, then I’d say that’s the reason he would be able to run 18-20psi

Yes, and no. Yes I have 9:1 pistons, and have to run lower boost because of it, and no, that doesnt make it safe to run 18-20psi on stock lower compression pistons. My friend has almost that EXACT same setup. AFC, 550s, stock IC, big 16G. He can only run 16 psi. Myself, I can only run 14-15.

ANYTHING over 16 any time is asking for trouble without any kind of logging capability.

i had my 90 gst at 18 psi at the track on 93 octane and i had a run with no fuel cut and ran a 13.3, that was with a filter, exuast, and stock tires, i spun like hell and lost grip in first and second when i hit full boost, but it was ok, i dont know how safe it was but my car was fine after, now i got new 2g pistons, head, 2g manifold, and other lil stuff, i am gonna run about 18-20 at the track
