Looking at stepping up to FP turbo. I'll have all that I'll want to put on the 90 before I drop either turbo in. When I do it, the last things will all go on at once. I'll drop in the 650s, FP turbo, O2 elim\40mm tial gate.

Which turbo I get depends on the difference between the two. I plan on going with a 7cm exh. housing. I know which turbo for racing, but I'll be driving this car on the street allot. I'm sure the green has better street manners, but is the red that much different?

Is spool up way different having the equal mods\equal clip, 7cm exh. RC650cc just diferent turbos(red\grn)?

If someone has experence with both and which they liked about each one would be good info for me. I've search out and read some happy owners of both, but since after paying for a clip on the green, you're lke $20 from a red.

Just trying to get it right the 1st time.

I would say that the 650cc injectors might be a tad onthe small side for a red. I would recommend going with any turbo with a 50 trim compressor wheel. It is a GREAT wheel, it moves a good amount of air and it LOVES high boost (25+) It would take you a long ways. LATER. :)

I recently went through the same dilemma... was going to buy a used red... then it was sold... & was gonna buy a used green.. but it wouldn't be available till after the SO. So I went w/ the AGP L2R... spools up faster than a green (20psi @ 3500rpm) w/ more power than a green. Nick Visockey upgraded from a green to a L2R also... said that the AGP pulls alot harder. Sean Ivey (runs mid 10s) went from a Red to a L3R.. & said that it spools a little faster.. but pulls harder than the red. I even talked w/ Robert at FP... he told me not to waste my time w/ a green or red... & to just get a FP30 (55 or 65) when they are available... the FP30 & AGP R series turbos are exactly the same thing w/ different exhaust housings.

Just so you know. Extreme Turbo has the Ballistic concepts available also. (not try to start a flame war, just thought I would let you know)

It IS the sh*t!! If you have seen one (in larrryd's case when he sees it) they are WAY cool. The neatest thing you will have seen in a long time.

Nothing else to do at 3:30 am. Well maybe i should do somthing they are paying me to do.

What is the deal with these turbos? Just BB center section, right?

No the blades on the wheel look differenet then the normal turbo the turbine wheel has a bunch of curves to help catch the air, but not be a restriction. they are the lastest and greatest aerodynamic wheels out there.

What I heard though was that they were not making tons fo these turbos at this time. Maybe someone will let me know that these are in full production mode. If so the prices should start to come down.

I would definately say between those two turbos, get the Green. Going to spool faster, you'll be able to run more boost on pump gas, the car will be much more driveable as a street car, and I could go on and on. The Red Turbo in my personal opinion, is a very 'in-between' turbo. It's a little too big for a street car, and not quite big enough to be a hardcore race turbo. It's going to be very laggy; and the wheel moves a lot of air, but also heats the air up very quickly. You won't be able to run much boost at all on pump gas where you are very concerned about inlet temps. The Compressor wheel, which if my memory serves me correctly, is a 62-1 Turbonetics wheel, which is designed to flow 10% more air than a 60-1. It's a 7 blade wheel with a very aggressive pitch, and uses a TDO6H back wheel in an 8cm housing. This wheel uses some pretty old school technology back when people were trying to run a large turbo on a 4 cylinder that they could still spool up. Basically, I think you would be MUCH happier with a Green turbo. It's got an awesome Compressor wheel, a 'proven' exhaust wheel and housing combo, will spool reasonably quickly, and make good top end power. Chances are, you line up a car with a Green and one with a Red, all things being equal, pump gas for pump gas, the Green would prolly tear it up. Now, put race gas in both, and I will put my money on the Red because it simply flows more air. That's my opinion on the two, and I strongly feel you'd be much happier with the Green.

Regards,

Well dude, that convinced me. I see a green in my life. I'm still inclind to see what the FP30's do. I just think in at the end of th day, it'll be too big for me.

Price to come down? Come down from what, they are already priced in the same range as a non GT turbo.

And then plan on paying a bit more for a internal gate on the Green or L2R.

AGP L2R - $1350

FP 3055 - $Call Robert for info, but you'll be surprised at the price.

FP Green - $1375

ETE32 - $1384
