porting question

i started to port my head only the exhaust side and i think i might of gone to big. i ported it to match my exhaust gasket holes. is that going to be too big and did i mess my head up? also will a 2g ported exhaust manafold be ported the size of the gasket or smaller?

you ported it to big. the runners of your exhaust manifold cannot be ported that big.

Ok, here is what you can do. Take your exhaust manifold and put the gasket on there and line it up exactly where you want it. Take a Sharpie and trace around the inside and make sure you leave a good line behind. Then take it to a machine shop (I have access to one if you want) and ask if they can set it up on a jig grinder and take the beginning of the runners out to the end of the Sharpie markings with a 45 degree bit. That way, you'll have a neck-down, but at least it will be smooth and you can still salvage your work till you have enough to put a tubular header on.
