Heres a few pics of the impossible to reach O2 housing bolts. Luckily it all came off without a hitch, we used liquid wrech and no bolts broke. These are pics with AHP's 2.5 in O2 housing going on, and a few comparison pics. It should be said of the O2 housing that the turbo side has the same diameter opening as the stocker, however it is much larger on the inside and the downpipe side. This is an undercar close up of the the front of the O2 housing bottom bolt, it required a sort of threading manuver where we put the washer and nut in and tightened the nut down as we moved the O2 sensor into position little by little. If youv'e done a similar O2 sensor housing install you know what I'm talking about. :D

Here's the impossible to reach and nearly impossible to tighten bolt on the back side of the O2 housing, it required we unbolt a oil line that runs next to the bolt blocking it so that it can be moved aside, the bolts and nuts are 14mm we reused the stock bolts as we managed not to break any of them. What ftlbs did we torque too? Well I'm pretty strong and given the tight spaces and lack of 3/8 drive torque wrench.......its anyones guess.:p

We started it up like this, no O2 housing, no exhuast. Boy was it loud, by the way, its best to remove all the heat sheilding and the fan. We ended up trimming the lower heat sheild to accomadate the new O2 sensor position and to avoid any unwanted rattling....am I supposed to have this many bolts left over?

This is the car up on stands, we backed it onto ramps (the front doesn't have the clearence for the ramps) and used jack stands on the front. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THE JACK MITSUBISHI SUPPLIES WITH THE CAR FOR ANY PART OF YOUR INSTALL. We used a couple of 4 1/4 ton floor jacks and a nice creeper to speed install. As a side note we used all of the stock rubber hangar hardware, we only needed to remove the metal sleeves in them with needle nose pliers to accomodate AHP's larger diameter hangars.

Here's a picture of my triumphant crew of helpers in order fromleft to right, my dad, my younger brother Martin, and my older brother Manny. Somtimes I wonder if I was adopted:confused:
