I cleaned my SMIC this weekend, and was curious about the plactic air duct that's attached to it. I know this piece is directing air from the hole in the bumper, but I was wondering is it better to just leave it off so that the IC can get air from the bumper and under the car when moving, or is it more efficient to leave the duct on and get more focused air to the center of the IC. Only reason I was wondering is cause I noticed the duct is blocking a certain amount of the outer fins of the IC. I've left it off for now, but I'll put it back on if you guys recommend it.

path of least resistance. with the ducting there, it is easier to go through the intercooler than out the sides or back out the front of the bumper.

without it, the air will have an easier time going around our puny sidemounts.
