Well I put my new downpipe on, and now I have even more boost creep then before.

Well I'm trying to figure out what to do to get rid of it. I will hopefully have some money soon from some stuff I will be selling.

I'm not sure if I should just get my housing ported, buy a new O2 housing with or without an external dump, or get an external wastegate? What are your suggestions for best control of boostcreep?

I was kind of thinking of porting the wastegate port bigger and getting a bigger wastegate valve, and running an external dump on the wastegate, but I'm unsure on that as the external dump will be really loud.

Just an external dump? I would prefer to do something that would keep the noise down a bit since the cops already harass me about my exhaust.

Anyone else have suggestions?

Also I am boostcreeping all the way to 21psi from the stock 11.5psi.

I've got the same problem with my car. I put a boost controller on and ported the O2 housing and external dumped it, but I still have boost creep bad. Porting the wastegate would be the best thing to do.

As someone above metioned start off with a boost controller.

If you have a 16G big 16G or smaller, you could buy an 8cm2 exhaust housing with the large 34mm flapper. Also a 2Gen or EVO O2 sensor housig in combination can help. External is optimal, but you can resolve it with internals. EVO manifold and O2 sensor housings flow well in stock form for a crack resistant street setup.

Yeah, you should get a new 34mm wastegate flapper installed as well as get the exhaust side ported out. A new exhaust manifold may make the problem worse because the exhaust gases will be getting to the turbine wheel faster and keep it spinning longer. You'll definitely want a 2g ported O2 housing. The external dump is pretty loud. There is a clip up somewhere on here of a guy who installed one and it sounds like the exhaust just falls off when he punches it.

I'm just wondering how a boost controller will help? Boost controllers can only set a higher PSI since the spring in the actuator is set for 11.5psi. And boost controllers restrict PSI to the actuator so it does open as soon as it usually does resulting in higher PSI.

I am getting a boost controller, but I just don't see how it will help my boostcreep, thats actual why I don''t have one yet because I have boostcreep and it won't do me any good.

Has anyone here ever tried using a Audi 5000 external wastegate? I am thinking about getting one and using it. They are big wastegates for being stock, and I can get different springs to change the stock boost. And then use a boost controller when I want to run higher PSI.

Heres a pic:

I may just look for someone selling a ported 2G O2 housing, or I may buy the RnR racing O2 housing. What sucks is I don't have another car to drive, so I don't know how I will get the wastegate hole ported bigger.

I think I will just get a O2 housing, and if I still have a problem then I will get my wastegate ported.

Look around and I'm sure you can find someone selling the exhaust side (or even the whole turbo) in good shape that you can port out without having your car down for a long time. As far as the wastegate, check out Slowboy. They install a 34mm wastegate for 60 bucks.

The O2 housing will make it worse. Trust me, I put one on my car and boost creep starts at 4k. I suggest you see if you can find a turbine housing that someone already ported the wastegate on, or put some restriction back into the exhaust system.
