Evo III engine

I seen a couple of sites selling a EVO III front cliip for around 4000. Does that engine and tranny bolt into the 1g AWD?

Yup, there are some little things to take care of such as mounting and things of that nature, but it'll work.

how different are the internals from my 6bolt engine to the evo engine? Like if I added a bigport 1g and a FMIC would i have about the same power?

EVO engine won't fit in your 1g, since they are 7-bolt.

With $4,000 you can make an engine that is a whole lot better then the EVO III.

Its been done. It only works for EVOs 1-3 because for the 4th one, they swapped the timing gear to the wrong side. So, it'll work with 1-3, which is what he was asking about.

Agreed. I wouldn't do it, but he just asked if it would work. Just build your engine man, you'll be waaaay happier with it.

Yea, I will just build my engine, but the reason
I was thinking about the evo engine is because, If i got another engine it would be around 1200 then a 16G big port would be 600 buckz then the FMIC would be about 1200. So just for that I would be at 3k And I get extra goodies for a 1k more like tranny, piping, ECU, etc. The reason I want to get a nother engine is because when i got my gsx it had a oil leak, and the oil gauge is broken, and the light is broken as well, and when i got it like two days later it had no oil in it. so I was thinking i my compression is probaly bad anyway.
