Can you use Evo IV-VI cams in 1G or 2G motors?

Trying to do some research to see if you can use stock Evo IV-VI cams in the turbo 1G or 2G engines. From my research, I can tell they enlarged the lobes going from the Evo III to the Evo IV engine, but not sure if they will work on our US 4G63s.

Any thoughts?

Well you would have to flip them 180 degrees, once you do that. Guess what the lobes that were suppost to control the valves for cylinder #1 are now on #4
My guess all your valves will kiss the pistons.

Evo and DSMs have the motor "Swapped". The evo cam gears face the passenger side, and DSMs are on drive side. You couldn't put the cam gears on the right side.

Besides, there are tons of good cams made, so why try to reinvent the wheel. Use what works.

other then bearing sizes and seal sizes and cam gear differences they should work.

the evo still fires 1342 like ours does and still turns the same direction

the only problem is why woudl you waste money on something that may not fit and will likely cost quite a bit if you could 1 actually find one for sale in teh US, or cost an arm an a leg if you can speak japanesse or british(jk)

IMO this seems like the ricer civic crap bois that want to be able to claim they have Type R BS in their cars.

The reason I ask is that I always try to look to the less obvious solutions. From my reading, it sounded like the Evo cams could provide a nice bump in power due to their larger cam lobe profiles. Besides, two sets of Evo cams have sold recently on eBay. One set was brand new in the bags and even came with valve springs for $96.00! The cheapest HKS cams I have found are $265.50 264 and $285.00 272. At a hundred bucks for a brand new set of potentially hotter cams, who wouldn't be intrigued?
