Toronto,
Never really had a chance to go at WOT on high gears since I installed The O2 housing with the dump tube.

Well, did it today, for some reason after 4500rpm the boost starts creeping up to 20 psi.

Anyone know the reason why this is happening??
Never had a problem with boost creep before.

Would a electronic Boost controller, like the "Profec B" prevent that??

By the way, I have a 14b set at 16psi.

Hey....I feel your pain. There is lots of info on this site. Just try a search on "boost creep" and read all ya can :thumb:

quick answer, creep is created by the inability of your wastegate to dispose of "waste", hence creating more boost. Improve waste disposal, reduce chances of creep.

I have a very similar setup and have the same problem. There are a few things that you could do to remove the creep, some are more of a pain in the a$$ than others. The first one, and the one that most people would recommend, is massive porting of the wastegate passage and the infamous 34mm wastegate flapper mod. However, if you're like me and don't want to remove your freshly ported 14b off of your 2G, you want another answer. The easiest way to remove creep on this setup is to introduce a restriction downstream of the turbo. If you're running a 3 inch setup, a catylitic converter would be a great restriction. If you make it a high-flow, you will introduce just enough backpressure to quell the creep, while having your car squeaky clean in the process, as well as quieting it down a bit, and it won't hurt power as much as people will have you believe. As a plus, you're car won't stink like an old V8. By the way, it doesn't matter what kind of boost controller you put on the car, as it will creep regardless of how far you open the wastegate. The whole definition of creep is that it is easier for the exhaust gasses to spin the exhaust wheel than it is for them to squeeze out of the tiny 14b wastegate flapper.

Later,
Matt.

 Easy on the stinky cars, bud;)

Thanx for all the help and suggestions.
I'm going to see what I can do.

But what's still bodering, is that when I had the stock O2 housing I never had boost creep, and now with the O2 housing dump tube I'm getting boost creep, it doesn't make any sense. Maybe I'll go back to stock.
