well I finally did it and Im keeping my fingers crossed.. I know Im gonna get alot of people jumping down my throat about my choice but well, I figured time to take another chance..

I decided on the AGP L2R turbo from www.agpturbo.com, here is the quote from their page..

AGP L2R
This is the turbo you have been dreaming about but could never have
until now. Fast spool up, instant boost response between shifts, and top end power that will have you bouncing off the rev-limiter in the blink
of an eye. It spools faster than any turbo of it's size, test cases have
shown full boost as low as 3600RPM on real world stock motor cars. Add high compression, 3" o2 eliminator, and a few other goodies and full boost under 3500RPM is possible. The top end pull of this turbo is just plain sick, it will support 30psi to well past redline. This is the
greatest street/strip turbo available for the DSM.
*-supports 550bhp
*-54lb/min compressor
*-latest 10 bladed GT30 turbine wheel
*-your choice T04B or T04E compressor housing
*-ported 7cm turbine housing
*-optional 34mm adjustable internal waste gate

Introductory Price - $1350

I know Im going to have traction issues but the top end of this turbo should be pretty insane. If I ever decide to drop my engine into an AWD this is definitely the turbo I will want to have as Ill be revving that sucker up to 10000 rpms and should still be making power up there, but we shall see.. In the meantime Im going to put it on my FWD and see what its capable of..

Ill have the turbo in a couple weeks along with

Victory Performance O2 w/External Gate Mount
Tial 40mm Wastegate
Bosch 660s
Supra Fuel Pump
1st Gen Fuel Rail
Spoolinip AFPR
3" Dejon Tool Intake Pipe
DSMLink

anyhow Im curious to here what you guys think about this decision.. I still have to do something with this Big28 and Ive yet to decide what..

That is an awesome choice!!! I was talking to Ken today, and he just switched to that AGP from his 20g and he loves it!! He said the top end is much stronger than his 20g. Im sure its going to be majorly nut on your fwd, but fun. Im actually really excited to see how it all works. Good luck, and keep us posted!!

Now would that turbo fit on my gst? Just a thought I mean I have the money to do so but the question is will it go smooth. (Well working my ass off to get the money)! So will it?:D

didnt you read what anyone else replied in your other threads? you are stock.. you need ALOT of supporting mods to run this kind of turbo on your car.. read the tuning guide

nice ;) do take many install pics

Sweet turbo. Good luck with it.
There will always be the naysayers, especially with turbos. I can't tell you how many people were dissappointed with me or told me I was a fool when I bought the T28/S60 back before it was popular.

Is that price for the externally gated turbo? How much more is the internal wastegate option? I cant wait to see some times with this turbo, it looks sweet.

Internal gate option is $100.

Well..... there has to be a ginypig for everything :D
Good Luck! Their really talking this turbo up, I like the FP stuff myself.
The trick will bein tuning though.
I think it all comes down to that!

thanks everyone.. Ill be sure to take plenty of pictures and my car is going to be tuned with a wideband using the dsmlink so it should be pretty insane..

the only thing im up in the air on still is wether or not to keep the 6 bolt block with crower rods and ross pistons or not.. Id like to keep them and have them for the just incase but thats alot of $$ to have just sitting around in parts that I dont necesarily need.. not sure yet..

I think you made a good choice on the turbo but def keep the 6 bolt, crowers, and ross pistons. I bet you will install them sooner then you think since that turbo can make more power then your stock bottom can handle and you'll get greedy for power who doesn't :D just my .02

Mario

Definetly agree with mario!!! You should keep that block, especially since you have most of the mods you ll need for the future. If its not a loss, then you should keep it, and go huge with that FWD!!!

Man I can't believe you bought that POS turbo... Just kidding.. congrats... I think you made a very good choice. Make sure you ask for tips on installing it... I tried it for a whole day cussing & kinking lines trying to get it to fit. Talked w/ Kevin that night.. he explained the tricks.. & it went right on the next day. The main trick is to loosen the bolts attaching the compressor & exhaust housing to the center cartridge... Get the exhaust housing bolted up & align the center cartridge w/ your oil return line & make sure the rear water line clears everything (this was the line that I kinked twice... good thing I had a few spares)... once you get that lined up... adjust the compressor housing so that it's not pointing straight at you motor mount (1g) so that the lower IC pipe will fit nicely... then get everything positioned the way you want... tighten a couple of bolts on each housing.. pull the mani & tighten all the bolts. If I had done this from the beginning it would have been on within 2hrs from when I started... instead of 2 days. I had considered it the 1st day.. but I couldn't make myself attempt to take apart my brand new $1350 turbo. If you think they should come already setup perfectly.. you'll have to realize that everyone's setup is different.. IC piping, oil/water lines, ect... This was how my install went (the 2nd time that actually worked) & you results may vary....

ken which compressor housing did you get with you're MU? never mind:p and did it clear the lower water neck without modifacation

I already had the main water pipe dented slightly to fit the BR20g... didn't have to dent it anymore to fit the AGP K9 Killer...

LOL@K9 killer

Sounds sweet, I've been reading up on those turbos and they sound awsome. Why did you decide on this turbo instead of the Green?

when u install it dyno it right away and tell me how much ur car has improved. Good luck with it!

Hey now. I don't want the SPC coming after us thinking we kill animals. We are fans of all animals, even when Kevin's dog tries to kill me.
