I just got my slipping stock clutch replaced with it..

but it feels like my car is slower(especially @higher rpm) than when I had the stock clutch or is it just my imagination LOL

the stupid hose that connects the uicp to the auicp came loose while boosting LOL

I assume I had boost leak since I got the new clutch..

RRE needs to make a full uicp that eliminates the rubber hose, does anyone make one for the 2g?
 
oh LOL, nm i was going to say in higher gears maybe it's becouse you have not broke it in yet? (you are suposed to put 300miles on the 2100 i know before it is "broke in")
 
so it'll pull harder once it's broken in? I only have like 20 miles on it LOL!
 
No it will not pull harder once broken in. ACtually the best time for a clutch is when its brand new...

Anyhow if the clutch is adjusted correctly and its not slipping then you need to look elsewhere.
 
well from what i got from the papers that came with my 2100 was that it maynot be perfectly flush preventing full contact and thus sliping...

"Recommended break in for ACT Street Discs is 200-300 miles of mild surface street driveing."

"Break in period for a new ACT race disk can be accelerated by preforming several hard slips in high gears pior to raceing."


but belive what you want I just quoted the papers from my ACT 2100 which also tells about the others

i thought most clutches had to be broken in,in order to grab right too.. the clutch in my GS550(bored-600) drag-bike had to be beat on for a little while before it was grabbing REALLY hard. the top surfaces on a clutch disk(s) when new will cause a little slip untill it gets worn a little. kinda like new brake pads and/or rotors or a new set of tires on a bike.

Yes, Dejon Tool makes a UICP and also an S pipe which replaces the elbow and the rubber piece. Beware though, it is a huge pain to get them on and off because they don't flex so it takes quite a bit of muscle to position them.
