WTF is wrong with my car????????

OK, I got the 16g center section in. Got the boost turned down to 15 psi. Went, got the 3 inch turbo back no cat and dynomax race magnum muffler. Driving to work, look down and i'm almost overheating. ALMOST, not quite.

At this point my BRAND NEW 16g is working fine. great, dandy.

My exhaust is LOUD, but good loud. Nice, deep (but not nasty rich deep). I like it when it sounds right.

I get to wok, park it, and notice white smoke from behind. Not cool, not cool at all I think. Let the car run down, and go in.

Come out of work about 9 pm, and get in. Smokes a little, but no substantial ammount. Get going and it's still doin ok. Not overheating anymore.

Pick up the lady, go to sonic to get food. turn off the car and eat. get out to turn the boost down just a little. ok, no problem.

Start the car up, and NO BOOST. NONE. Car sounds super low and bad. stop at a stoplight and It DIES. Start it back up and go. dies at the next light. Stop into quicktrip and it DIES AGAIN.

Pop the hood and start it up. HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.....

Idling like it's got the biggest vacume leak ever. Hissing like it's a pissed off cat.

Baby it 5 minutes back to her house, let it sit. By this time it's REALLY loud (had been since sonic- even got laughed at by ricers :cry: :mad: ) Let it sit for about 2 hours.

Drive 15 minutes home. Dies a few times along the way. Still no boost.


My question is, WHAT IS WRONG???? Blown head gasket? Wastegate stuck open? Blown up hose by intake manifold (possibly pcv valve?) I'm sick of stuff blowing up on this car, an I just want to know what's wrong!!!!!
 
It sound like a couple of things. I would guess that you have a vaccum leak some where. That would explain the dying at stops and the idling like crap. The smoke if it is white that means coolant is getting into the combustion chanber. Most likely it is your head gasket. Did you remember to top off the coolant after you installed the new center section?? Did you use new cruch washers on the coolant lines. They could be leaking and cause the cooling system to loose pressure and overheat.

yea, but why no boost?

I"m not the one who installed the turbo, so I should ask the guy who did these questions i guess.
 
No boost because you obviously leaking it somewhere. Check your intercooler pipes, did you tighten them back down? Or they could have a hole. It could be your BISS screw, the screw covered by a cap on top of the throttle body, mine shot out several times on my 1g, I have no balance shafts and prothane mounts so there is a lot of vibrating which will cause the screw to back out, oh and it makes a loud noise when it's missing. If your missing your screw buy one (and the o-ring) from the dealership, the new ones are plastic and don't come out as easy, or you could just put some rtv on the threads.
