I need to clamp it to my intermediate pipe so the lighter the better. I really don't care about flow since there I am running an open cutout all the time. I just need a muffler that is light as possible, cheap, and prefferably resistant to rust.

Thanks

Sounds like your looking for a pre muffler resonator since you said it's going on your mid-pipe. I'm using 2 MBRP resonators for my exhaust build. Any resonator is going to be a little lighter than a muffler..but also won't dampen the noise as much. Make sure it's stainless if you don't want it to rust. If you're not looking for an exact sound, just get any old stainless ebay muffler for cheap.

I have an HKS hi-power carbon/titanium exhaust on my car right now. There is nothing titanium on the entire exhaust except for a short sleeve that is riveted to the tip of the muffler. The muffler itself is their regular stainless muffler wrapped in carbon fiber. It's an extremely high quality made piece..just not as lightweight as the name implies.

Well thats good to know...

Thanks to the both of you. Yes, cheapness is the name of the game but needs to be lighter than my magnaflow which is heavy and putting stress on my exhaust system. Sound doesn't matter...open cutout at all times.
