my 98 gsx blew the motor, i was torn between the slowboy stage 2 long block (which could take 5-6 weeks to get), and getting a jasper rebuilt (which i could get in a day).
the jasper was about $1,000 less but it's stock, my final goal is to be running about 350hp, so the slowboy may be overkill?
It's killing me not having my ride as it's starting to get warmer and the track is open.
Does anyone have any suggestions, to wait the 6 weeks and go w/slowboy, or go w/the jasper?
If anyone has had a jasper installed please let me know how it's working out.

although i dont know much about the two engines i think in the long run you would be happier waiting.. remeber good things are worth waiting for, everytime i have ever setteled for anything i always kicked my self since if i just put a little more effort out i could have realy had what i wanted... well thats my .02 cents

I would wait for the SBR engine. I don't see the reasoning behind ever buying another stock engine unless it's a junkyard engine..And the track isn't open yet, damn weather...9 more days.....

well, its not a matter of getting a car for the track, its a matter of getting ur car running so u can GO places. unless u have another car to get around, i wouldnt waste too much time, trust me it sucks. i was considering a jasper rebuild when my timing belt went a few months back, but it was just too much money for a stock engine ($4100, that's worth more than my car). anyways, i went with a JDM motor, not sure u'd be down for that, but i wouldnt recommend getting the jasper build. its a waste of money and ur not really gaining much in return, although u will have ur car back on the road faster.
