Anyone use the plastic T instead of brass for boost guage install?

I saw over at autozone they have a plastic T which is a lot lighter then the brass Ts that I have seen. I'm gonna run there tonight with my hose so I can pick the right size one up.

Yes I have. The plastic T worked fine. I used them for my boost gauge and MBC. The one vaccum hose was hard to fit over the one T but I really had no major problems. Hope this helped, Matt

I also used the plastic, and I'm sure the weight reduction would take at least a 1/10 off my ET =)

Whats the size of all three barbed fitting on the plastic T and what size rubber coupler did u get which you stick in the hose and attach to the T?

Nylon over plastic, if possible. Though if you buy one for an automotive application, it'll probably be nylon anyway.

i wish i could find some small brass T fittings around here. they don't sell them at any autoparts store and they don't have any at home depot.

i used the ones from advance. they do the job perfect, i havn't had it leak yet.

For the poster complaining about sizing; 4mm is "about right". You can use the better-quality small-diameter garden watering system Ts; zipties make good hose clamps.

I believe the size of the barbs for the T should be 3/16

At least thats what I have, and the hoses fit snug as a bug in a rug.......ok I'll stop the cheesy comment.

Cool I went to Lees Auto and picked up a 3/16x3/16,1/8" plastic T and a 7/64", 1/8" rubber connector to connect the hose to the T.

Now hopefully someone will search and find out what they need instead of picking up a T and small barbed fittings...

Plastic and OK. Just be sure to zip-tie the hoses.

i used 1/8 all the way around is that to small? all three barbs are 1/8" or what ever form of measurment it is
