I just wanted to see how many of you all have the catch can compared to just a breather or such? I have a custom plastic catch can i made w/ a breather, but am just skeptical about it.Its not bad or anything, it just sits there ( bolted to my plastic dust cover ), and I think maybe I should just pull off the breather and put it on the valve cover so I can get rid of the extra mass. What do you guys think???

I just have a long piece of hose from the valve cover, running down the side of the motor. :D
That works for me.

I installed a carbed V8 fuel filter (Clear plastic) in the hose from the valve cover to the intake pipe (pass side of valve cover)

this way, I just unclamp one side and dump out the oil, reattach and go on my merry way. Haven't had to dump it yet tho, its been a month or more.

keeps all the oil outta my intercooler, turbo etc, and it cost me $1.10 canadian.

and no smog nazis can say about it. In fact it probably lowers my emmisions, as I don't have to re-burn any of that oil.

and another benefit, my spark plugs will stay clean longer.

no mess in the engine compartment.

pretty good for just over a buck and about 5 min install.

oh, and its not my idea, but I can't remember the author's name or website. Sorry.

Im sure that is definetly the cheapest... Every time ive tried to drain my can nothing comes out. I really must not get much blow, the most that has ever come out is 2 drops...LOL

how often do you guys drain your catch can?

Well as big as mine is, I would probably only have to drain it like once a year!! Ive drained it once and only got a few drops...but Ive only had the car for about 6k
