lenexa,
Ok, I just put on a 16g minus the turbine housing, and it came with a new wastegate actuator.

I get the car, run it off boost/ at light boost the way home, so that i get oil run through it- i know not realy necissary, but hey, i don't want to chance anything in up....-

I get home, and decide to take it out and see how it does. I HAD my 14b set at 14 psi, and my mbc would get there and stay there steady. well, i get into second gear, boost up and BAM. It does not stop at 14. does not stop at 16 gets to 20 and I let off because I don't want to cook my engine.

I get out, turn down the boost, get back in, and well, same problem.

Turn it down some more, no help.

I'm thinking about just running the hose from my bov where I tapped for my mbc straight to the WG actuator and seeing what that does.

Could my actuator be stuck some how? or could it be the lever that it attatches to? I'm pretty damn stumped right now, so any help would be great.

Did you remove the MBC when doing the swap? Sounds like the you mixed up the lines of the MBC. When installed correctly, it adjusts. If you were to switch the lines, you get super boost. Did that myself when I swapped turbos.

i just took the MBC off- completely- and ran a straight line from my bov. 18 psi. I think it's either a pinched line somewhere or a vacume leak. gonna make sure everything's zip tied when the engine cools down some...

did you run a line straight from the turbo outlet nipple to the wastegate actuator??

that yeileded a wopping 10psi for me. Hose was too big, no restrictions.

If I'm reading your post correctly that is how you should have hooked up your MBC in the first place. Your lines hook to the compressor nipple and the WG actuator. If you run a line "straight from the turbo outlet nipple to the wastegate actuator" you will need a make shift valve (aquarium valve/pump manifold) to go inline.
