3" exhaust question

Ok I have searched and searched on her, DSMtalk, my local dsm forum and google (which usually brings me here) I bought a donor car that came with a few goodies and a full 3" down pipe back exhaust. I have searched every single thread with or without pics and RS/GS/GST aftermarket exhaust go over the rear subframe or axel area and the DP has a bigger curve than the GSX has. Well I pulled the exhaust off the donor car and it doesn't run like I have read. The DP is for a GST and is does have a large curve BUT it damn near lines up with my OEM DP on my gsx and the piping does not run into the drive shaft area but along side it, and the part at the axel runs under it instead of over it.

Now... Am I missing something or are they making exhaust now that will fit all models regardless of trim? I have not bolted this up to actually see how well it fits on my GSX, I've only held the pieces in place and eyeballed it. I can post pic later today if you need to see this exhaust but I was hoping someone on here has run into this with newer designed exhaust

Gst runs over the axle, gsx runs under.

Here is a pic of my gst exhaust off the car it's the only one I have on my phone. The test pipe doesn't go there because the dp is a cat delete, I just didn't realize that until I bolted it on .

Yours does exactly what mine does till the muffler where you flange goes over the axel, mine curves sideways and goes under it instead. Yours is actually identical to mine but my DP is a cat delete. Even the DP fits under my GSX but its for a GST. seems odd to me that every single thread on 3 forums says that it won't fit but yet mine happens to be the one that does!?!?

Not a real good pic but you can see that when I bolt up the tip... it curves under the axel like a GSX
