I installed my greddy type s bov on my 91 tsi and works fine, not real loud, but when it is uncirculated it sounds awesome.. but car seems to lag, i know there are a billion threads on this but is there anyone to run this vented? please, please? sounds so cool.. thanks

If you read the other "billon threads" you would've found out that you can vent if you get a VPC or a full standalone.
 
If your car got laggier from the BOV install, then chances are you have a boost leak. Pressure testing the intake is an easy way to find them.

1st I'd try tightning down the bov screw, if its loose it'll be letting off boost prematurely causing lag. Tighten it down until it surges, then back it out little by little.

Personaly I've never liked the Greddy bov's and have always leaked or surge when you get it to stay shut. I personaly know 2 locals who've switch from the type s to HKS SS, the HKS is hands down better. It'll hold tons of boost, can be recirculated and doesnt surge.

Lol... Yeah, ZERO problems when running vented to the atmos. Your car feels normal and you can hear the noise and it doens't idle wierd then everythings ok! Vent away..




















There is that pesky running rich problem though which is washing your cylinders down with gas, but that's not a problem now is it?:rolleyes:
