Removing Purge Control, and Charchol Canister

Those of you who have done this, What vacume lines have to be left alone, or connected after the removal, and how will this affect my ECU, will it make my check-engine light come on? And how to prevent that. I am preparing my car for a 2g MAS, and a new intake pipe. I have already done the valve cover breather, now I need to remove the Purge control.

you will trip the CEL if you remove and of the EGR or Purge control valve connectors up on th firewall

I took the vacuum lines to and from the canister and purge off, took the canister out, capped the hole on the intake, and left the hose from the tank to the canister just hanging on the firewall. Then capped the lines at the TB.

What canister? Wait...what vaccuum lines! :laugh:

Just look throught the VFAQ and removed it all including that rats nest of vacuum lines.

Id do as Jay has said. I removed everything from my engine bay and got no CEL's. The 1G ecu wont trip you for that so dont worry about it. Just make sure that you dont have emissions regulations out there or you will fail because of this.
