forged pistons

I'm looking for a set of stock sized forged pistons for my 1990 motor. I have found ross pistons for $359 brand new, just wandering if there are any cheaper ones.

Dude, get real. You don't even have to ask that question. Ross Pistons are around $500 for an off the shelf set without rings.

Yeah, all you have to do is go to big fast v8 for my DSM and look under cool V8, and then click on phat price, and it's $500 shipped!" Come on dude, post something that actually has substance to it...and I don't mean the substance you were abusing when you thought you saw Ross pistons for $359 with rings either...

I looked it up and did find them listed on imprtperformanceparts.net for $359 with rings. I also searched and found that no vendors carry Ross pistons anymore. Kind of strange...perhaps importperformance has some huge buy in and undercut everyone, causing them to be pulled from the market. And Krazy Korean, I know you are just trying to be a smart ass, but Ross pistons generally sold for over $500 a set; they were more than the JE's. I have no idea what has happened now.

well I thought it was kinda fishy too so I emailed them to ask if they were forged or not and they say that all ross pistons are forged. Why they sell them for so cheap I don't know, and noslaser is an ass, and i don't do drugs.

I checked out the site, and they are exactly what you said they were, so for that part I apologize. I also posted a link to what they normally cost, so I'm a bit torn. I have a set of slightly used (less than 1K miles) .020" over for a 1G, and I'll sell the set of 4 for $275 shipped.

How are the rings on those pistons? I'd assume I'd have to get new rings, and set the endgap on them for my specific engine. A good tip that someone told me is that you should get rings for an oversize from your pistons and then file them down to fit, so you have a better leakdown. Got any pictures of those pistons?

These are .020" over so you have to get oversize rings anyway. NEVER re-use rings. The pistons, if you were to buy them, wouldn't even come with rings. Let me know if you are interested. I don't have a digital camera so I don't have any pics of them.
