I want to get an exhaust system for my 96 GSX but I am kinda otrn between these two systems. RNR is like $300 cheaper so thats temting to... I will be getting a 3" exhaust and need to go from the turbo back. What are you guys experiences with these? And do they hang down from under the car at all? My friend has a Greddy on his GS-T and left like 2 inches ground clearance because of the exhaust hanging down on one of the bends.

Thanks,

Both a great exhaust. With Apexi you are paying for the name that is why RNR is $300 less. Also I believe the Apexi is only from the O2 back where the RNR is an O2 eliminator so it goes from the turbo back.

O2 eliminator is where it's at. With the Apex'i you are paying for the name and the neck-downs.

rnr man.. for the price u pay for the apex n1 CATBACK.. u can get a full o2 eliminator TURBOBACK.. yea the n1 is brand name looks better.. but u really want just a catback that necks down compared to a full o2 eliminator turboback.. u decide..

When looking for an exhaust im always worried about getting a bad sound. How does the RnR 3" O2 eliminator turbo-back sound??

i am in this same dilema. however, i did find a place where i can get a full N1 cat back exhaust ($469) and DP ($239) which isn't all that bad. however, im leaning towards a 3" turbo back, SS, external dump (more noise, the better). btw, does anyone have a picture of the RnR w/ a bullet muffler?

I have the RnR turbo-back exhaust with the bullet muffer on my 95 TSi AWD and it sounds awesome! It has a really deep/mellow tone at idle and at WOT it sounds just evil, I love it. RnR is a great company and Ryan will answer all your questions like he did for me. Only problem is you might have to wait a couple of weeks after you order but it is well worth the wait. :D

Yeah, ive had my RNR 02 elim for a few months now and i agree, it has a great low mellow sound. I personally dont like the look of the muffler itself, but it just took .6 sec of my 1/4 mile, so i cant complain.
