I just recently here picked up a 95 TSi AWD. It almost has 99000 miles on it and it is bone stock. Its seems to run great..no smoking, turbo spools good. Would I be asking for trouble if I start adding mods to it?

I had a 92 Talon ESi with 130k miles on it, I added intake and exhaust and broke some valves. I Dont wanna get in this situation again? I basically wanna do the basics to start out. Ive got an Injen Intake, Blitz BOV and am able to get a custom made 3'' turbo-back exhaust for it. Would this be risky with almost 100k miles on it?

HAHA.. this may be true :)

MAY be true?.... c'mon now, denial ain't just a river in Egypt :p

this is the case with ANY modified DSM. you can have a 4g63 with 100 miles or 100K miles, once you start working, you will never stop working. once you replace one part, you will replace three more. once you upgrade one part, you will need to replace five more. and the most annoying thing, these parts will have nothng to do with each other

Go ahead and MODIFY!:D I got my 90 TSI with 192K on it, and have been doing some stuff to it ever since. It now has 212K and still going strong. Granted, I have had to replace parts along the way, but nothing that doesn't wear out with time anyway.
