I'm currently doing an upgrade for my car, and I've ran into an issue with J-pipe. The kit I ordered from extremepsi seems to be too large for the car...

Does anyone know clean way how to solve the issue by creating custom LICP, swapping fans or moving/using the overflow can from another car?

I would really like to keep the AC... And since I attend track days once in a while, overheating could be an issue as well.

I'm still running with the OEM side mount.

Here is the video and pictures:

That passenger fan looks huge compared to the stock one on my GSX. Maybe not though. So I measured it and mine sticks out about 3.25inches(82mm) from the radiator. Pic is attached

No, it looks exactly the same, although that Injen pipe is a LOT smaller, helps a lot as I see.

I went with a slim fan when I switched turbos. Then again this was in a 1st gen. though. Either way looks like swapping fans may solve your issue. DOn't waste money getting custom piping made.

I could try to replace the large fan with a smaller fan, just like the drivers side. I was thinking about slim fans too.

But I'm scared that they lack the cooling power...

I would highly suggest you keep the oem fans if at all possible. Slimlines come nowhere close to the output unless you spend $$$.
You do have options:
* Change out the big FP intake for an Injen style for more clearance. (easiest)
* FMIC with j-pipe going the other direction
* Clock your compressor housing and modify the j-pipe and actuator mounting

In the meantime, you could stick a stock snorkel intake on (if you have one) to be back running while you decide what to do.

Now... if it were me. I would get me one of those new downfiring 16g compressor covers but that would mean converting your 14b to E316g spec's which is not a simple parts swap like the other options. Oh who am I kidding, I'd go full TD06 20g upgrade:sneaky: Sorry, I got a little carried away there.
