Slowboy Racing Big16G 2G

It's actually a big 16G with a modified t3 housing. This way the compressor housing actually points down similiar to the stock T25. They can have the 90 degree bend pointing in any direction so it can attach to the stock placement of the lower IC piping or to an aftermarket FMIC. It can also come without the 90degree bend. The modified t3 housing eliminates the need for the 2G install kit. I've been thinking about this turbo also. It's between the SBR-2G-b16g or the SBR-2G-20g.....There is only a difference of about $50 between the two.

I think the 20G is a tad too much lag for a primarily street/dd car so I am probably gonna go with this turbo.

So are these turbos considered hybrids and not full mitsu turbos anymore?

Has anyone tried the 2G Big16G from Slowboy racing? Basically it's a Big16G with a welded J pipe. I'm not up on water and oil line position vs the T2X turbos but it seems like it will bolt up nicely. Here is the link..

How would this modified T3 cover compare in size to the regular TDO5H housing that an unmodified Big16G uses?

If you go to Slowboys site, I believe there is a picture of the two together. Don't quote me on this but I believe the T3 housing is larger than the regular B16g housing

I have the SBR 20G on my car and have full boost right around 3500rpm. Very acceptable lag for a street turbo.

I can't find the mentioned picture. However, it looks as though they use the same modified T3 housing on their 20G. This would lead me to assume that this cover is bigger than a TD05H. (20G in TD05H = Hairdryer.)

Hey pimp, click here. There is a pic on this page. It's the pic on the right side(2 pic.s side by side)

I think I have changed my mind once again... Reason being that most people get a B16G and then upgrade when they crave even more power. So I am going straight to the L1R. It's more money but you only live once.

I'm pretty sure that the picture you are talking about is a SBR-2G 20G (modified T3 compressor housing) next to a 'run-of-the-mill' 16G in a TD05H housing. Doesn't really answer my question because the 16G in that picture is not in the modifed T3 housing that a SBR-2G Big16G would be using. I'm curious if the T3 compressor housing he's using on the SBR-2G 20g's is the same as the one used on the SBR-2G B16G's? This is going to require an e-mail to him isn't it?
