:dsm: well......i was on my way to the local skate shop today to buy a new deck and was on the freeway when i heard a big ass BAMMM!!!!!
i looked to my rear and saw that fatal blueish black smoke............i knew it then..........Blown turbo(16g)......got the car towed home and took it apart....i was right..................well i started cursing in AND OUT OF EVERYWORD!!! so i look in my mailbox for more bills and negative stuff tickets etc so i could yell in the mirror some more.............what can i say...my lucky day! woo whoo........income tax check came in the mail! a whole 3500 to spend on car stuff...right on time ............so now the question is...........what turbo to drop on now? i have all of the basic mods and now id like to go with a bigger slug! so can you guys help me decide on what to get....i was thinking big 20g.......but i dont know if im ready for it...help.....im in no rush........i have a beater to cruise in for now...........

A 20g would be cool, as would just about any of the hybrid turbos out there. I would even say a T3/T4 full Garrett would be a nice upgrade. What have you been able to do with the 16g? Any times recorded with that turbo? That should tell us if you're ready to go big yet. If you haven't got the tuning down, you may want to just consider getting another 16g and practice your tuning.
 
well i almost bought a big 16g about an hour ago, but i decided to hold off on it. I havent had a chance to run the 1/4 mile on it yet...but i think that i would be in the low 13's..well see. I do a little tuning on it but friend chad helps me out with that. I have to wait until he has time. The mofo is a 4g63 guru...
 
How much did you get your 16g for? big or small?What are your goals? I was sorta in a mess like that and I didn't know what to do. I was thinking of going 50 trim hybrid or what not. I called most of the vendors and decided to just get my 16g rebuilt to a tdo6 20g from SBR. Mike has the best customer service around. Another thing you might want to consider is the FP GREEN, if you trade your blown 16g they'll credit you 300 towards a GREEN. HOLY **** dayam good deal!! But the 20g will be enough for my goals. It's all up to you.
