i just found out i had a cracked exhaust manifold and i am considering getting a ported 2g. i am wondering what people think on the 7cm ported 2g from DSMotor sports. first off i dont have anything on my car yet except K&N and cleaned the intercooler. if i get the manifold before i get a full exhaust system am i going to be running in to any problems? should i stay with the cracked one and save for my exhaust system? also when i get the 7cm ported 2g will it fit on my 1g? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks i wasnt sure what to put this post under because it has a little bit of everything, so if i posted it in the wrong place i am sorry.

its a good start. Especially if yours is shot. As for fitting, tell them it is for a 1G car and they will do the very minor mod needed to make it fit.

If you can afford it you should get your turbo ported to fit, as well as for more performance. It is easier to take it off once :)

If not, don't worry, I have not done any porting yet. 2G manifolds flow better, and have a better path for the exhaust. It makes the turbo spool quicker. Plus it is stronger than the 1G part.

best of luck

hummm sounds like a good deal. its in good condition right? would it fit my 1g? if not what would i have to do to it? i am really considering about it it will help me alot thanks for your offer. i would like you to hold it for me if you could if but you have other offers its all up to you. but i will get back to you on it soon. thanks alot

2g manifolds bolt right up, no necessary adjustments necessary. You would have to do something about the hole though, unless you have an egt ready to go in. I'm sure there's an easy fix for that though.

Its not a threaded hole so you cant screw something in but you should be able to lodge something in there like a screw or something. Obviously just make sure that whatever it is your lodging in doesnt go straight through and into the manifold as that would be BAD for your turbo :)
