Maxium Boost on 1991 TSI

i'm picking up a 1991 tsi today which is in great shape. it has a mbc, hacked airbox, k and filter, exhaust, and gutted cat, what is the max bosot i can run on this car? how much if i rewire the fuel pump? thanks

well if it has the stock fuel system 16 psi is starting to push it.. i dont think you can and or should run higher..

Depends on the condition of the motor too.... I ran 14PSI clean and easy, then upgraded the fuel pump and rewired, Now i can run 17PSI with no problems. Every car is slightly different though depending on miles and running cond. just make sure everything is in good shape before you push it too hard. And yes Hi octane gas is required at this point
