not sure if this is in the correct section, but i figured it would fit in here better then any other.

i just installed my s-afc II yesterday. i triple checked all my wiring, everything was PERFECT! i turned it on and started going through it, not changing anything. i got to the "deceleration airflow correction" screen and i tried to press the stick to get the menu to pop-up to goto the menu again. well, it wouldn't. it is froze on that screen. i can move up and down, but not over to change settings. as far as i know there is no reset button on it, without being able to goto the main menu to get to the intialize option, which i can't get to.

i posted this on dsmtalk while this site was down, but i wanted to get some feedback from some people over here before i sent it back. maybe there is something yall know that i havn't read yet. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Remove the power wire of the SAFC-II from the computer and let it blank out. Then restore power (reconnect the power wire) to see if the computer recycles.

Just a thought..

if im not mistaken, the deceleration anti stall only works on hotwire cars... you might want to call apex'i about that one tho...

yea, i know the featuer only works with hotwire, i didn't mean to go into it. i also just tried the power thing, it didn't work. is there anyway to reset the afc without intializing it? could a bad ground cause this? i don't see how it could because it is turning on, and always going to that option, but i don't know. this is getting me so pissed i feel like calling it quits on EVERYTHING. anything i order, it never works right.......

no one has any clues of why it could be doing this?

ok, well it seems that some people have this problem as i have been doing alot of searching, because the people i got it from suck at customer service (e3racing.com NEVER EVERY deal with them). I got this from edoperformance.com forums. this person had the same problem and actually got ahold of someone in hong kong who knows a little english.

"Apexi was VERY HELPFULL. They seem to really care, but they speak Japenesse then i got a guy that BARLEY spoke english and he told me to E-mail Him. To restart the unit you PUSH the CENTER button and hold it, Turn the unit on and it shows LOTS of stuff then Hold up for 5Sec then down after that for 5 sec and it will bring you back to the MONITOR window. THe guy told me NOT to tell anyone, I guess if it happens they want you to ship your unit back, WEIRD, dont you think, i guess not that you guys have this it can help in case something makes it lock up -Tom"

hope this helps anyone who has this problem.
