I'm finally getting around to installing my 3000gt 190 lph fuel pump (mostly to avoid fuel cut), and I wanted to know for sure if I am going to need new injectors for this pump. also right now I'm running about 15 psi, can I up that a little with my new fuel pump? Thank you all for your help in advance.

First of all, fuel cut has NOTHING to do with a fuel pump. Nada. Zilch. It's when the airflow through the MAS is more than the computer can compensate for.

What are your IPWs and duty cycles? That's the only real way to tell if you're at the point of needing larger injectors. I'm guessing that if you're just now adding a fuel pump, though, you're quite a ways from needing larger injectors.

MikeyboyTSi,
Thank you for the usefull information. Someone on another board told me that the higher pressure fuel pump would help me avoid fuel cut by sort of tricking the ecu and mas into thinking that the air fuel mix is more even. I'm fairly new to all this, and I just didn't know if I needed to run new injectors because of the new fuel pump. I guess I have a little more research to do (I though I had most of the answers). Thank you again.

Best way to avoid fuel cut "easily" is to get bigger injectors and a fuel computer (AFC, etc...).

I ran 20psi with a AFC and 660s w/o fuel cut for a long time before upgrading beyond the AFC.

Thank you all for the help. I think for right now I'm going to stick with just the fuel pump and keep the boost where it's at, then eventually when I get a bigger turbo (big 16g most likley) I will upgrade injectors and go with a s-afc. Again you all have been very helpfull. One more last question, I have a modified mas, but do you think it would really be worth it to go with a 2g maf to avoid fuel cut? Just curious thank you again.

In reply to your original question, when i installed my fuel pump it did not help fuel cut, BUT, my timing was pulling back and power was weak over 5,800 RPM. This problem occured over 14PSI. NOW with the upgraded pump i can run to 7K RPM clean with 17PSI. also the powerband was very noticible. Best investment ive made.

4TireFire,
Thanks for the information. I've already decided I'm going to install and now that gives me more of a reason why I should. I'm probably going to keep my boost at about 15 psi, because I know I can safley do that. But the fuel pump will make sure I have enough gas later on when I do some bigger mods.
