Being a new owner of a 91 5 speed GSX, I finally had a chance this past weekend to work on it. (tune-up, swapping to synthetic, to name a few) I happen to notice that the line for the wastegate was not hooked up. The T-fitting was broken prior to it.

The car is stock, except for a new K&N for "mods". Any idea how much boost I was running for the three days prior to fixing it? I know it was more, because it does not pull anywhere near as hard as it did. Thank you for your time.

With a stock exhaust and cat, probably 20-22psi spike and 17-18psi at redline.

Lucky you caught it before your next post was about how a DSM is an unreliable POS. ;) :p

Well, I guess that just means I have to build the rest of the system so I can get it back up there.

I know a bit of the "quirks" of these cars. I have been interested in them since a buddy of mine bought his TSi AWD new in 1995. I never had a chance to pick one up till now, since college is behind me now.

Time to start working on getting ready for Auto-X.

Thanks for your time.
