If a GST has a speed limiter due to the H rated tires from the factory do the 95-96 AWD's have that. Or did they have better tires?
 
My first gen doesnt have a speed limiter but I know that some people say that they do 2g and 1g that is. Koreans car doesnt have one either and his is a 2G....

ANyhow hes talking about tires. Stock tires on gst's and gsx's are "R" rated which means according to the DOT you can go like 125 on them or something. But give me a break, who hasnt gone over the speed rating of every single tire known to man? I went 160mph on R rated tires...
 
i went 140 then my road was running out so i just let off i didnt see if it was going over or not but i know it was 140 for sure other than that i thought that some gsts that are limited were limited to 130 becuase that wat h rated tires are rated at.... although i have an eagle talon i dont know if that makes a difference if i have a limiter or not i guess ill find out when i install my new 16g :)
 
LMFAO!!!! I remember when you posted about how your car ran like 12xxx or was it 11xxx, but I remember you said it was 115mph and that you were going to prove it... LOL@U

You ask if you have a speed limiter at 100mph but you run 115 traps (in a NT...-)) at the track? LOL you crack me up!!
 
i never said i was on a track bud.. and lets let it go!!.. till i get slips i havent talked about that in months...

i did it on the auto bahn.. are u in germany?? no so u dont know what an auto bahn is.. and i said that my car goes past 115 i was saying on average its about 115 when driving.. but i can get it up to 135 or 140 on a slope.. but driving w the od on it sometimes wont go past 100.....
 
I had mine up to 135 then the rev limiter kicked in. Just felt like it cut the fuel. I got there pretty quick too and I was only running 10psi with the 20g.

Im so fed up with that stupid boost controller. Its part of the reason my car has been on blocks for the last week. I dont think I would have grenaded the head if it didnt hit 25psi all those times. I just got my 4layer head gasket in today. That thing looks way strong. That along with the arp studs should keep the head from blowing.

Wait a minute here... you did say it was at the track you imbisul... How coudl you have ran a certain time and receive a timeslip (which you say you will show us:rolleyes: ) if you werent at the track. Is there a pulloff on the autobahn where you can receive a 11 second timeslip to an auto, NT 2G.... This is one of the silliest things Ive heard on this board yet, you contradict yourself a million times. I will not let it go because on that last thread you lied to everyone, made yourself look like a dumbass and now your doing it again. That was less than 3 weeks ago BTW:rolleyes: I have been to germany as well as on the autobahn so before you make a stupid comment like that why dont you learn first.

So let me get this straight, on avergae your cars rev limiter is at 115, but even though its at 115 sometimes (on those special nights:rolleyes: ) you can get your auto NT to 140mph? But driving with the overdrive ON sometimes it wont go past 100mph? You are officially the stupidest person I have met my whole 1 year on this board...

i remember seeing something at dsmclub telling you how to take the speed limiter out but now i cant find it anywere dose anybody remeber how to do this.

I did 200 in a 98 GST on the autobahn (it is ONE word by the way) autobahn A6 between Ramstine AB and Kieserslaughtern... so I TOTALLY believe you when you say that you cruise at 115 on the autobahn... what you fail to mention to the general public, however... is that these speeds are all in Kliks... or Kilometers for the civilians out there... so MY 200KPH = 124.2 MPH and YOUR 115KPH = 71.5 MPH and when you SQUEEZED it up to a BLISTERING 135-140KPH... that would put you between 84 and 87 MPH... so yeah... that is about right for a 420a powered car...

Does a 2g nt have a speed limiter? I got mine to about 120mph and I was cool.

and i can do 235 kph in my Euro 2g (different gear ratio,no limiters = Autobahn Bomber)but the manufacturer gives 220 kph in the cars documents though...all cars over here always exceed the value stated in the cars Regristration-->(unless it has a 250kph limiter ala Mercedes)

and the A6 is a great place to test top speed --> Pretty Flat but has alot a traffic during the day,better to do testing at night.

The A8(in Saarland and Plafz) is ok too, but theres not enough straight aways and when u find one,there also will be a speed limit.

A great Abahn is the A86 to Tuttgart,--> no Limit. and its very straight.


But remember ,do top speed tests at ur own risk and watcht out for those Dark coloured(unmarked Police cars/Autobahn Polizei) Bmw 5 series and those suspicious E class Wagons,and Audi A6s.Although alot of em are Diésels,remember that they all do at least 220 kph and some even go 250 kph....

dude... I was going to Riverside one night, I was on A6 from Lahnsthul (sp?) I was doing 245 in a (rented) 6 speed TDI golf... and this little black SEAT polizie cruiser FLEW by me like I was standing still... I had no clue what he was, so I tried to catch him... no such luck... then like 200 yards before the K-town exit I see him on the side of the road with a yellow 355 spyder pulled over... I was like DAMN... he must have been HAULING ASS... I got on A6 in the 130 zone... and I was doing 245 and he wasn't concerned with me at all... but the fact that a little SEAT could run down a ferrari... I didn't take my chances that much in the limited zones anymore... and then there are always the speed cameras to worry about... :(
