reseting ecu?

ive heard that reseting your ecu will give u some sort of perfromance? true or incorrect?

NO, it will not help out HP at all. It is just important to Reset when you do a mod to your car, so that the car can correct fuel curves and etc to compensate for the mods.

I've only notice a slight decrease in performance everytime I reset the ECU. It's because you erase the memory of where the fuel trims are set, and the ecu has to find the correct trims again, which takes some time.

Actually, you can get a performance gain, but you will only get it while the ECU is relearning the fuel maps / curves. Basically, the performance comes from the ECU dumping a S#itload of fuel into the engine as it trys to relearn the best amount. So with the fuel being dumped in, you might get a small amount of increased performance but only for a limited time.
