check eng.light help

i have a stock 98gst, check engine light went on since i put this greddy type s bov venting into atmosphere. is anyone out there is experiencing the same problem? we tighten it and reset the code, chk eng. light disapear but i heard a stutter, kinda loosen it up then chk. eng light went on again. is the bov defective? any input will help. thanks

why are u venting to atmosphere??

the venting is causing an overly rich condition, which is most likely being read by the 02 sensors, causing the check engine light to come on

try resetting it again, but this time recirculating the BOV, see what happens then

best thing you can do to the CEL is take the bulb out
