o yea... i suppose you guys will want specs on the header... its going to be made outta mandrel bent steel tubing.. 3/16" thick walls!!!! MIG welded... heat coated silver... 1 1/4" inner diameter tubing... CNC machined faceplate and turbo flange. the reason i use steel over stainless steel is because stainless steel cracks very easily at the welds. if you want to see what the heat coating i use looks like goto my website under the turbo headers page and theres 4 pics of heat coated headers.

That looks just like the OBX manifold that is super prone to cracking after a very short period of time.

If you plan on buying a manifold even T304 will crack eventually, it needs to be 316 or better..

When are these available for shipping and what is warranty?
Also will the work with the 20G turbo?

-What flanges will you be selling them with (T3 or Mitsu)?
-Will they have a place for mounting an external wastegate, and if so, on the #1 runner or at the collector?
-What type of warranty will you be offering?

So let me get this straight. You are going to steal the design from www.dnperformance.com (openly admitted) and your proud of this?

Not to mention you have the nerve to advertise this on DSMtuners obviously without reading the RULES of the site..

"NO SPAM, advertising, or self promotion in the forums in any way - PERIOD.Vendors are encouraged to share their knowledge with our members in the forums, not talk about products they sell or services they provide. im sorry... but im tryin to help u guys out larry!!!!! im not completely stealing there design.. you'll see it when its done... its SIMILIAR but not the same... im gonna run the tubes a but different.. its going to be made out of mild steel... the reason theres cracks so easily is because its stainless steel which expands differently and cracks. I can make them for both T3 AND mitsubishi turbos. i got like 15 T3 flanges sittin in my shop... yes i can do external wastegate setups... it will be off the collector... i find that to be the most logical area to take from when using external. at the moment i cant really offer a warrenty BECAUSE these are performance parts and all and are bound to break from just the oddest conditions... but maybe i can work out like a 30 thing jus so u know it works good.. otherwise if it was seriously messed up it would break right away.

haahahahahah... what ever are u talking about??? hahaha. by the way supereclipse.... ur garage looks a lot like mine when im doing a project on my car haahahahahahahahahah i jus leave the tools wherever

Well, if you think about it, a lot of tubular manifolds look the same. I think you should talk to Chris (I think that's the guy), maybe he can help you promote your site or something.

hmm $300.... if i dont have to worry about it cracking... and it bolts up easy to stock or upgreaded setups...I defently want one...

(think i will wait untill some other ppl get them first though)

I thought the cracking was caused because of the different expansion rates the metals have. A 30 day warranty wouldn't cover the main problem a manifold would have, which is cracking after a long period of time.

not only did you spell "THEIRS" wrong... but that is BLATENT defimation of character... openly attempting to divert buisness away from dnperformance.com, and tward you with slanderous alegations about the quality of their product, with no evidance to back yourself... I have NEVER heard an ill word of the aforementioned manifold and the fact that you are now not only breaking the rules of this site, but breaking the LAW as well... things are not looking good for you, and your up-and-comming business at this point...

i was looking at dnperformance's site. I LOVE that mani. But I'm perplexed with theit costs, it's 500 for a mitsu tubular mani w/o the wg plumbing and 999 for the mani with a WG plumbed from the collector. I understande the design of the mani has to be tighter to allow spce for the 5th runner. It seems, the cost id more based on the desing work not the materals cost. Hell if I can get the open specs to a basic mani without having to use my calipers to measure it, I can design teh mani on CAD or solidworks, like they are doing and only have to pay for materals a labor.

hmm well i thought it sounded fishy from the start when he said "www.exploitedracing.com heres a pic of the header im stealing the design from...."

LOL but hell if some one does buy them and they seem ok eh.. i might buy one...

im not stealing the design... geeze... i said mine was going to look like it... there not that many ways to make our headers anyways so quite crying about it.

LOL i know you probly didn't mean realy stealing it just takeing the basic desighn and changeing it a little... but... I just had to say that... BTW if you can show me any proof that your manifolds wont crack in at least a yr's time i'll sure be one of your first customers... but come on 30 days isn't realy enough time... 90 would be more like it... and then you still shouldn't have to worry about geting to many back with cracks... probly one here and there..

I'll take one for 300 if...

-you offer a 90 day or better warranty

-its high temp coated

-and make mine for a 7 cm mits housing and I am using an o2 pipe with wastegate dump so I don't need a collector off the center of the mani.

and I need it in about 3 weeks, let me know.

A couple things I noticed looking through this thread...
-1.25" ID runners are entirely too small to make decent power with...
-300 dollars...that price is going to change very quickly when you figure out how much time goes into each manifold...
-3/16" thick material is entirely unnecessary if you just build some bracing into the manifold...anything thicker than .065 is a waste
-304 > 316
-MIG welded?? ugh...
-equal length does not = tuned

just my thoughts,
marshall

i can use 1 1/2" piping... whats wrong with MIG welds??? some people think there weak and that u should use TIG.. but TIG dont penitrate the metal as good. and no im not going to change my $300 price... ive made tons of headers before and so far havent had any problems yet. ill make a header like this and put it on my own car and test it haha... which im going to do acually! below is a pic of a honda civic header I myself made.... it was acually the first header i ever welded up so thats why the welds were a little ghetto but there a ton better now.
